Who Are We

We are people of all backgrounds, discovering the joy of a friendship with God.

Every weekend, hundreds of people of all ages gather at Crosspoint and hear about how

to have an outrageous, contagious, joy-filled life.

How, you ask?

By discovering what the Bible has to say in a creative, compelling and relevant way. Come see why so many preschoolers, kids, preteens, teenagers, young adults and parents are making Crosspoint their church home. Once you attend, you'll want to make it a part of your week too!

Our Purpose and Mission

Our purpose is reaching seekers and building believers for the Kingdom of God. That is what Crosspoint has been about since the beginning. We want to help people who are disconnected from the church connect with God. That is why we offer a fun, casual environment for people of all ages. We believe that although our purpose will never change, how we accomplish that purpose must change to fit the times. Our mission is expressed in five E's.

Engage Culture

Enable People to Serve
Experience Community
Expand the Kingdom

Equip Believers

At Crosspoint, we want to Engage Culture in a way that shows God is relevant to people, so we can introduce them to Jesus.  Everyone desires to be part of something bigger than themselves.  We all have a deep longing to make a difference.  By Enabling People to Serve, they feel valued and our ministry is so much stronger.  God wired us with a desire to belong and a desire to be known.  When people Experience Community, they know they are cared for.  The most important assignment our church has, is to point people to Jesus.  Expand the Kingdom isn't about Crosspoint, it is about God's eternal family in Heaven.  When someone makes the first time decision to put their hope and trust in Jesus, we rejoice because God's Kingdom was expanded.  We work hard to Equip Believers to understand their faith and encourage them to live it out.

Crosspoint Staff Team

  • Wil Deahl - lead pastor

Wil has been our lead pastor since Crosspoint started in 2003. He married Cheryl in 1994 and together they have two incredible teenagers they are proud of. Noah and Miri share two passions, a love for Jesus and tennis. Wil enjoys date night with his wife, watching their kids play tennis and keeping up with his favorite tech blogs.

  • Corey Webb - Executive/Community Pastor

Corey joined the Crosspoint team in September 2015. Corey, in his younger years, could have been seen driving racecars, or racing cars down the streets of Schertz. He is passionate about connecting people to God and others through everyday life. He and his wife Bonnie married May 24, 1986 and enjoy ministering together. They have three daughters, two adult daughters and Adriana a teenager. Corey enjoys exercise, spending time with his family and spending time with friends. Their favorite getaway is spending a week at the beach.

  • Dave Sartain - Children's pastor

After years of working in the business-world for companies large and small, Dave finally landed his dream job when he joined the team at Crosspoint in January 2015.  That’s because his job as children’s pastor allows him to combine his skills of leading and training with his passion for helping kids and their families grow closer to Jesus and closer to each other. Dave’s biggest (or maybe only?) fan is his wife Melodie and her love and encouragement keep him going. Dave and Melodie have four kids: Jonathan, Rebekah, Benjamin, and Caleb. Dave’s happy place is wherever he can hang out with his family; whether that means playing games around the family table, watching a movie, or going mountain biking.

  • Jorge Martinez - Music pastor

Jorge joined the Crosspoint team in February 2017 as the Music Pastor.  Jorge is from Piedras Negras, Mexico and moved to San Antonio in 2010 to study music theory at UTSA.  He met his wife Kayla, an elementary music teacher, in 2015 and they have been working and worshiping together ever since.  Music and serving God are not the only passions Jorge has developed over the years, he has a deep love for the soccer video game FIFA. #HumbleBrag -Jorge has been one of the top 100 players of FIFA on Xbox in the world!

  • Aaron Resop - Youth Pastor

Aaron started attending Crosspoint Church in 2013 shortly after marrying his wife Rachel. He almost immediately became involved with the music ministry by playing guitar and singing on  the adult worship band. Aaron and Rachel have one little boy (Joey) born 7/15 and Savannah born 3/17. Aaron has developed a love for Coffee. We believe he might be a part of a witness protection program since his last name spelled backward is Poser. In October 2016 Aaron joined our staff as the interim youth pastor. He is so excited to have the chance to build relationships with parents and be a positive example for the younger generation who are looking for answers.

  • Kirstin Butterworth - Clubhouse director

Kirstin started attending Crosspoint in early 2017. Kirstin married her best friend Donald in September of 2015. They have a young daughter Devyn, and 3 dogs whom they consider their children as well. Kirstin worked many years in the pharmaceutical world before joining her husband working for his paving company. She never knew her love and passion for toddler development would lead her to a job at Crosspoint. Kirstin loves to travel and can't wait to take her daughter to the many beaches she has visited.

  • Teri smith - Technical director

Teri joined the staff at Crosspoint after serving as a volunteer in various areas since the very beginning of the church. This is a second career for her after spending 29 years teaching at Wiederstein Elementary. She is a graduate of Randolph High School and Hardin-Simmons University. It was there she met her husband John who is also a volunteer at Crosspoint. They have two grown children, Ricky and Alyssa. Alyssa and her husband Ben blessed Teri with the gift of grandparenthood in 2016. Caroline Faith is the cutest, smartest grandchild ever born. Just ask Teri!! In her spare time, when she’s not working at church or substituting, she loves to sew, especially quilts!

  • delorean wiley - children's ministry assistant

Delorean, her husband, and two kids joined Crosspoint as members in the summer of 2013. Soon after, they became active volunteers in our children's ministry as small group leaders. After five years in the tech industry God led Delorean to a new adventure. She is excited to be a part of the Crosspoint staff, teaching our youth about Jesus instead of javascript. In their free time the Wileys enjoy camping, playing sports and watching Texas A&M and Alabama football.

  • Roxanne Ramos - Office Manager

Roxanne joined our staff in October 2008. She never, in her wildest dreams, thought she’d be working for a church. She grew up Catholic and really didn’t know Jesus personally until she started coming to Crosspoint. At the invitation of her two young kids, she was able to realize that a relationship with God was what she needed. Before she was hired, she was a Crosspoint volunteer for several years. Roxanne has been married to the love of her life, Felix, since 1989, and have two adult children, Zach and Ashley. They enjoy spending time with family, especially their 3 grandkids, Ian, Ethan, and Mila.  They bring much joy and happiness to the family and she enjoys loving on them every chance she gets. Roxanne adds professionalism to our staff and loves being with other Christ-followers each day. She appreciates the value of great friends!

  • Christie Olde - Office Assistant

Christie is no stranger to the Crosspoint staff. After a 2 year break she rejoins our staff as our office assistant. She and her husband Paul are long time members of Crosspoint and love spending time with their 2 adult children Samantha and Michael when they can. They are enjoying their empty nest lives traveling and visiting with Family. You can find Christie sitting at the front desk ready to greet you with a smile and help you in any way she can.
